Discover our SGW extension set, specifically designed for on-board diagnostics in select FCA vehicles. This set includes both 12-pin and 8-pin extension cables, each measuring 45 cm (18 inches) in length, providing you with the ability to enhance your diagnostic capabilities.

Technical Specifications:

• Application: Suitable for the following FCA vehicles where the SGW is present as a separate unit near the OBD or BCM:
  • Alfa Romeo: Giulia, Stelvio (iNAFTA: 2.2018+/EMEA 4.2018+ production including MY2020-22)
  • Jeep: Renegade, Compass, Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee
  • Fiat: 500L, 500X, Doblo

Note: SGWs have only been introduced as an external module since 2017/2018 in some newer FCA/Stellantis vehicles (model dependent). These can be bypassed and the harnesses extended as needed. However, since 2021 production, some completely redesigned models (not minor facelifts, e.g., Alfa Romeo Tonale) have SGW installed in the BCM (body computer), which are not supported by our bypass solutions.

The use of two pairs of extension cables is recommended by most customers. The user no longer needs to disconnect from the SGW, as the connection of the SGW bypass (not included/sold separately) is made in the middle between the extension cables, making installation much easier and less risky. In the Alfa Romeo Giulia, using two sets allows for easy connections of the SGW bypass through the under-steering wheel pillar opening. In the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the SGW bypass installation is also straightforward after removing the glasses compartment (~5 minutes work vs. ~1 hour).
